We have been named Utilities Sector Winner in Britain’s Most Admired Companies Awards 2018.
The prestigious annual awards, run by Management Today, cover Britain’s largest public companies and leading employers across 25 sectors.
The peer-review study of corporate reputation involves competitors and financial influencers rating rival organisations in their business sector against 12 performance measures.
Thom Thorp, UK Corporate Affairs Director, collected the award from Lord Heseltine at a ceremony in London last Tuesday.
Thom said: “It’s a great honour to win this respected award and a privilege to collect it on behalf of our business.
“The award is testament to the hard work of everyone across National Grid. The fact that it was decided by votes from our industry peers really shows that they respect the way we work and recognise our many achievements.”
Results are based on an independent survey conducted by reputation specialists Echo Research among 234 board-level representatives, analysts and City commentators.
Running since 1990, the awards are one of the most in-depth and best-established corporate reputation surveys in the UK.
National Grid came 77th out of 248 organisations in the overall rankings.
