10 October is World Mental Health Day. This week we are promoting the range of services and resources available at National Grid, providing you with tools and techniques to help improve your mental wellbeing and support your friends, family and colleagues.
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) helpline – free, confidential, 24/7
The helpline – 0845 094 8107 (option 2) – can support you and recommend counselling on a range of issues. These include concerns about mental wellbeing, relationship advice and emotional support, caring for others, debt and legal advice, lifestyle coaching, workplace mediation and even career advice.
Are you facing challenges in your home life, or at work, that you’re finding it difficult to deal with? Are you hesitant about calling the helpline?
They can talk things through with you on the phone and tell you where to find practical resources; such as support groups, specialist helplines and website. They can also undertake an assessment for referring you to short-term, solution-focused counselling, provided locally to where you live or work.
Calling the helpline may turn out to be the best decision you could have made.
