10 October is World Mental Health Day. This week, we are promoting the range of services and resources, available at National Grid, providing you with tools and techniques to help improve your mental wellbeing and support your friends, family and colleagues.
Resilience and Mental Health First Aid
Through our Academy Learning Directory, you can access training courses for developing personal ‘Resilience’ and to learn about ‘Mental Health First Aid’.
Explore your skills and characteristics. Learn to use tools and techniques that build a ‘resilience mindset’. As a manager, discover how to create a working environment that supports resilience in your team.
Mental heath ‘first aid’ is about what to do when somebody needs immediate help in dealing with a mental wellbeing issue. Come and learn how to be prepared to help a friend, family member or colleague if that difficult moment arises.
Many thanks to around 500 of you who have pledged personally to support our ‘Time to Change’ programme, addressing the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health. If you haven’t yet made a pledge please do so – help us to achieve 1,000 pledges!
