A student, who was on a work placement at National Grid a few years ago, has given the experience a glowing review..
Daisy Draper made it into the news because of her involvement in a debate with government policymakers about the Girls’ Attitude Survey. The survey is an annual research programme run by Girl Guiding, seeking the opinions of girls and young women across the UK. She specifically spoke about how career advice is given to young people.
Commenting about her work experience with National Grid, Daisy said: “It was an amazing experience. Engineering is a career that more young women are interested in, the industry is offering support and courses and, in my opinion, it’s no longer seen as just a man’s job like years ago.”
