As a founding donor, National Grid is again reaffirming its support for The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering (QEPrize) as it prepares to lunch this year’s competition entitled ‘Create the Future’.
The QEPrize is a global £1 million engineering prize that rewards and celebrates the engineers responsible for a ground-breaking innovation in engineering that has been of global benefit to humanity. The objective of the prize is to raise the public profile of engineering and to inspire young students to design the future they want to see.
The QEPrize is a great example of how National Grid celebrates great design and innovation through its corporate responsibility strategy, Making Connections.
As they countdown to the opening of nominations on 4 March, the QEPrize website will be showing a series of short videos featuring inspirational young engineers whose careers are at the heart of society.
On Thursday 27 February, the video will feature National Grid engineer Erin Johnson from Grain LNG.
