UK and the EU Referendum

On 23 June 2016 the UK voted to leave the European Union (EU). National Grid believes energy must now become a key priority area as the Government begins negotiations on how the UK’s exit from the EU will be handled.

The result of the EU referendum presents no immediate risk to how National Grid operates the UK energy system or to the country’s security of supply.
