The Royal Albert Hall was the venue for BITC’s Annual Responsible Business Gala, hosted by National Grid.
Chief Executive, Steve Holliday opened the Gala by setting out the theme for the evening – ‘Bring new energy to business’. The stage was then handed over to 80 City Year Corps Members who kickstarted the evening with a pulsating show.
Celebrity hosts for the evening, Claudia Winkleman and Adam Hills took our guests through all the award categories, separated by video messages from HRH Prince Charles and Prime Minister, David Cameron.
The night ended with Steve Holliday announcing the winner of the 2015 Responsible Business of the Year Award.
Before announcing Fujitsu as the winners, Steve said: “Thanks to visible leadership, responsibility has been placed at the heart of everything the company does and the judges were truly impressed and inspired.
“Their performance is a fantastic endorsement and powerful indicator that responsible business drives profit and success.”
Maeve Chappell, Programme Manager, Responsible Business of the Year said: “It was a stunning evening, and the award-winning entries were really inspiring – great examples of how business is making a huge impact at every level, with many companies reworking their day job to great effect.”
